Two Persons of Interest After Man Found Dead in Alley on Grand Ave, Lake Villa

Lake Villa police responded about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 to the block of 300 East Grand Avenue to a report of an injured person in an alley, according to Lake County Major Crimes Task Force spokesman Chris Covelli. Upon arrival, Lake Villa police officers discovered a man was deceased at the location with suspicious injuries.

The identity of the male victim was not initially released. An autopsy by the Lake County coroner’s office is scheduled Monday morning July 23, 2018.

Two persons of interest are in custody for investigation of any connection to the case.

The death appears to be an isolated incident, according to Covelli.
