The low for Chicago is forecast to be 76°F with a south-southwest wind between 10 and 15 mph.
So far the morning appears to be rain free with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 PM on Memorial Day. Otherwise Memorial Day is forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 92. The record high for May 28 is 93°F.
Some thunderstorms are likely Monday afternoon and Monday night ahead of a cold front. Some of these thunderstorms could be severe. Then highs in the 70s and 60s are expected for the rest of the week through Thursday.
