Fire at Marathon Station Car Wash, Kirchoff and Hick Rd, Rolling Meadows

VIDEO: Smoke and ventilation after a quick knock of a fire at the car wash at the Marathon Station at Kirchoff Road and Hicks Road.

Rolling Meadows police and firefighters responded about 8:10 a.m. Saturday to a report of a fire at the Marathon station car wash at 4200 Kirchoff Road. Firefighters received a report that there was a large fire in the car wash and that there were no cars inside the car wash. Firefighters were on the scene within two minutes and reported a working fire inside the car wash.

Firefighters knocked the fire within minutes, but there was significant overhaul and ventilation work. Palatine Fire Department and Palatine Rural Fire Protection District firefighters assisted Rolling Meadows firefighters.
