Burglary to Vehicle Reported Just After it Occurred on South Goebbert, Suspects Apprehended

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:35 a.m. Sunday of a burglary to vehicle in the 2200 block of South Goebbert Road at the Sanctuary Apartments. Five male/black subjects were in and out of the vehicle — some were going through the glove compartment. The offenders were described a five male/blacks in their 20’s wearing spring or winter jackets. Three out of five of the offenders were wearing baseball hats. They were last seen walking eastbound.

A criminal damage to property case reported at about 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the McDonalds on Golf Road may also be related to the suspects. Arlington Heights police are investigating and checking fingerprints in vehicles. Multiple car burglaries may have occurred.

An alert was put out to Mount Prospect police east of the crime scene. At about 9:55 a.m. Sunday Mount Prospect police were holding possible involved suspects at John Jay School, 1835 Pheasant Trail in Mount Prospect. Arlington Heights police met Mount Prospect police at the school. After an identification of the suspects, one male adult and two male juveniles were transported in custody to Arlington Heights police headquarters by Arlington Heights police.
