Cheetah Gym with three locations in Chicago closed its doors apparently
due to employee theft.
Gym owner David Wilshire wrote a letter to members with the following
key points:
Staff had stolen from the club and the owner.
Although the owner knew of no other thefts with members as victims, he
advised members to get fraud protection as a precaution.
A manager had an incomplete payroll — and unpaid employees meant not
enough people were available to cover shifts.
Cheetah Gym had fitness centers at the following three locations in
Chicago:
Andersonville Neighborhood
5248 N. Clark Street
Edgewater Neighborhood
5838 North Broadway
Wicker Park Neighborhood
1934 W. North Avenue
Wednesday the Cheetah Gym website (cheetahgym.com) left a
non-informative message:
“website offline”
Wednesday night the business telephone went to voice mail with a full
maibox.
