Pedestrian Seriously Injured at Barrington Rd and Terra Vita Drive Near Willow Creek Church, South Barrington

Barrington & Countryside firefighter/paramedics and South Barrington police responded about 1:30 a.m. Saturday to Barrington Road and Terra Vita Drive to a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident. Police were on the scene within three minutes, asked firefighter/paramedics to expedite, and shut down northbound Barrington Road at Mundhank Road. Hoffman Estates police blocked southbound Barrington Road at Route 62.

Firefighter/paramedics transported a male victim — a Palatine resident in his late teens or early 20’s — to Level I Trauma Center Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.

The driver was possibly arrested DUI, but this has not been confirmed from officials.
