Natural Gas Odor Investigation at Walgreens at Palatine Rd and Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights

Police, firefighter, and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 8:29 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021 to investigate a report of a natural gas odor at Walgreens, 235 East Palatine Road Arlington Heights.

Interior firefighters reported a slight gas odor at the rear of the building where a news heater was recently installed near a ceiling or roof location. Firefighters also laddered the roof while they checked roof appliance installations and the gas meter at street level at the back of the building.

Wind reported at 7 MPH from the South at NWS O’Hare International Airport at 7:51 a.m. Air temperature 47°F.

Wind reported at 6 MPH from the South at Chicago Executive Airport at 7:52 a.m. Air temperature 48°F.
