Detached garage fire at home at Arlington Heights Road and White Oak Street in Arlington Heights, Friday, September 11, 2020.

Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 11:16 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 to a report of a detached garage in the block of 1200 South Arlington Heights Road.

Engine 3’s crew on arrival reported flames and smoke showing from a detached garage, and immediately led out with a hose line.

The fire call was upgraded to a working fire at 11:26 p.m.

Firefighters from Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Township and Rolling Meadows assisted Arlington Heights firefighters.

All residents were accounted for by 11:32 p.m., and initially no injuries were reported.

The fire was declared knocked by 11:33 p.m.

Arlington Heights Road was blocked by police in both directions during fire suppression operations.
