Schaumburg police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:48 PM Sunday May 13, 2018 to a report of a vehicle fire with vehicle exposures near Ross Dress for Less, 2427 West Schaumburg Road Schaumburg, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a vehicle fire — a Range Rover on fire with other vehicle exposures near Ross Dress for Less. During response Battalion Chief 5 calls for Squad 55’s crew to assist due to the report of vehicle exposures.
Engine 51’s crew on arrival reported a vehicle fire — dropping a line. The vehicle was an older model Range Rover.
Firefighters used a spreader tool and saw to open the hood. Visible fire was observed under the hood and under the vehicle.
Tires also exploded on the Range Rover. The damage, if any, to exposures is unknown.
