VIDEO: Balloon release and prayer at 150th school year celebration at St. Peter Lutheran School at 111 West Olive Street, Arlington Heights.
Over 550 students kicked off the 150th school year with a balloon release Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. near Olive Street and Vail Avenue.
Pre-school students on up to 8th grade students celebrated the release of hundreds of red and white balloons.
Principal Bruce Rudi led the celebration and closed the ceremony with a prayer blessing the Christian school and coming school year.
