Horse Stable Worker Arrested for Sexually-Related Assault of a Horse at Arlington Park

UPDATE: Esbin Cal-Orozco, 29, a stable hand at Arlington Park racetrack was sentenced Wednesday to two years probation and sex offender counseling for having sexual contact with a horse in September 2010.

A seasonal worker at Arlington Park racetrack was arrested Thursday and charged with having sexual contact with a horse. Arlington Heights police picked up a subject being detained by Arlington Park Security for questioning Thursday about 12:30 p.m.

Esbin Dionel Cal-Orozco, 28, a stable hand working this summer at Arlington Park, was charged in Rolling Meadows branch court with the Class 4 felony. He appeared in court Friday. His bond was set at $25,000.

Esbin Dionel Cal-Orozco was stopped by track security guards sometime overnight Sunday-to-Monday following a disturbance at one of the stables in the backstretch of Arlington Park. Arlington Heights police were called to the scene to investigate about 8:45 a.m. Monday. Apparently, the disturbance involved Esbin Dionel Cal-Orozco and a female horse named Buzz My Bell.
