Buffalo Grove police received a report about 5:10 a.m. Wednesday of a skunk with a container stuck over its head near the Jewel, 79 McHenry Road walking down the sidewalk toward Starbucks. No word on rescue of the animal.

Buffalo Grove firefighters responded about 4:15 a.m. Tuesday to report of a natural gas odor in the basement of a home in the 700 block of Horatio in Buffalo Grove.
