Fulton River District is a Chicago neighborhood located south of the River West neighborhood, and west of the River North neighborhood, north of the West Loop Gate neighborhood, and east of the West Loop neighborhood. Some consider the West Loop neighborhood to encompass the Fulton River District all the way to the Chicago River. Some also classify restaurants and bars in the West Loop neighborhood as Fulton River District. Fulton River District is bounded by the Chicago River to the east, Madison Street to the south, the Kennedy Expressway to the west, and Ohio Street to the north.
Fulton River District is on the edge of Chicago’s downtown and northwest of the Loop.
Milwaukee Avenue begins it northwest direction out of the City of Chicago at Fulton River Park at the intersection with Kinzie Street and Desplaines Street in the Fulton River District.
