Mike Rice reacts to the news he was fired as Rutgers basketball coach.

Mike Rice has been fired as head coach of the basketball program at Rutgers University after a video review by athletic director Tim Pernetti revealed coach Mike Rice hurling basketballs from close range at his players’ heads, knees, legs and feet; shoving and grabbing his players; feigning punching them; kicking them; and screaming obscenities and homophobic slurs at them.

In addition, Eric Murdock, an ex-NBA player and a former director of player development for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights was terminated for having complained of and reported illegal conduct by Mike Rice. A wrongful termination lawsuit is expected to be filed this week.

Some say the firing came too late, and only because the video went viral.

News Friday spread that the rude man, Adam Smith, a CFO for Tucson medical manufacturing company ‘Vante’ has been fired.

No reports of any DUI arrest for Edward Furlong, and there was no confirmation that Furlong was intoxicated.

Compare the incident to the Diamond’s Gentlemen’s Club incident in January 2006 when John Homatas and John Chiariello left Diamond’s after employees put Homatas in the driver’s seat of his car immediately after he was found vomiting in the strip club’s bathroom. About 15 minutes later Homatas car crashed head-on into an SUV driven by April Simmons. The crash killed Homatas’ passenger John Chiariello, and the SUV driver April Simmons, and her unborn child.

Witnesses reported the mother was Catalina Clouser. Allegedly, Clouser and her boyfriend left a park around 11 p.m. to go buy beer. The boyfriend was pulled over on the way to the store and arrested for aggravated DUI after police determined he was driving impaired with the baby in the vehicle.

Allegedly Clouser was upset over her boyfriend’s arrest, and drove to the witnesses’ home and smoked more marijuana.

Clouser left the house about midnight with her baby asleep in a car seat. Clouser placed her child — still sitting in the car seat — on the roof of her car. She apparently absent-mindedly left the car seat on the roof of her car while driving home. The car seat and baby slid off of the roof and landed in the street.

When she realized her mistake, she called her friends to see if they could help look for the child. When Clouser returned to the scene, police were already investigating the found car seat and baby. Catalina Clouser explained and admitted the series of events, and was arrested for aggravated DUI and child abuse. She was transported in custody to a Phoenix jail.

Another mom was involved in an absent-minded scare Thursday, May 31, 2012, when she was talking with a group of women on the sidewalk and failed to notice that her stroller with child inside began rolling downhill (Or she might have been too far from it to catch it). The baby boy was not injured after a man driving a garbage truck stopped his truck, and jumped out to help another woman stop the stroller. The cross of ashes on the forehead is a sign of penitence and mortality practiced on Ash Wednesday. The ashes represent a cleansing of the soul ahead of Lent. Special services for worshippers are held in Roman Catholic, Anglican and some other churches. The cross is to remind churchgoers that: death comes to us all; they should be sad for their sins; they must change for the better; and that God made man by breathing life into dust and that without God, human beings are nothing more than dust and ashes. The ash is seen as a symbol of death and sorrow for sin and draws on the Biblical tradition of covering one’s head with ashes and wearing sackcloth. Some worshippers leave the church with the mark still on their forehead so that they carry the sign of the cross out into the world. Washing off the ashes has been associated with cleansing of sins.

Ed Schultz is making a plea to conservative Democrats to voice their opinion in support of full reform of health care. He wants a strong public option. He says he knows. He’s an expert. He’s been to the townhalls and seen the people’s eyes. He’s an expert in politics. In yesterday’s radio show “The Ed Schultz Show” he said President Barack Obama must act from his guts like he did at the Fort Collins, Colorado town hall when he spoke from the heart about ‘his mother’s’ death last summer. The president’s mother, Ann Durham, died in 1995. Barack Obama’s maternal grandmother, born in 1922 and died last year on November 2, 2008.

Today Schultz exclaimed, “If Obama can’t draw a line in the stand, and stand up to Republican opposition … he doesn’t deserve the support of the left … and he needs to realize it won’t be there.”

Schultz predicts that if Obama caves in and doesn’t stay strong on reform, the left will abandon him.

“Liberals will have no stomach for supporting Obama and Democratic candidates in the mid-term if they can’t show a spine and demonstrate they support the very people who put them in office.”

“The White House is living in a vacuum if they think liberals aren’t serious about dropping support for Obama. How are liberals expected to support people in the Democratic Party that say one thing on the campaign trail and reverse course when they get to Washington?”

On the first 90 minutes of the radio show, Schultz said nothing about why the public option and the single payer system is better. Too much energy of his was wasted on braggadocio, ridicule and laughing at his own jokes. At this show’s episode, he focused on his self-perceived power and authority to tell the White House how it is and what should be done. He also spent a considerable time bragging about his own media stature compared to Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck.

Schultz describes himself a “progressive liberal” and a “progressive independent.” He used to make fun of the homeless, until he became aware in the late 1990′s that many of the people he insulted were veterans. At that point he met a psychiatric nurse who would become his wife, who changed his views on poverty and politics. He gradually changed from conservative to ‘progressive liberal.’

Lance Armstrong was the ‘boy’s’ major contributor with the Livestrong Foundation. But the boy didn’t exist. An Idaho woman identified as Melissa Rice, 24, was responsible for creating an online fraud involving the Livestrong foundation.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s office served a search warrant to Rice’s house Tuesday. In Melissa Rice’s house, law enforcement officers found thousands of dollars in donations and celebrity memorabilia. Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies found Melissa Rice dead in her car five miles south of Henry’s Canyon, near Ammon, Idaho in Bonneville County.
