Crash with Injuries at Rand Rd and Schoenbeck Rd Shuts Down Eastbound Rand Rd, Arlington Heights

VIDEO: Personal injury crash with heavy damage at Rand Road and Schoenbeck Road, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:03 PM Thursday December 14, 2017 to a report of a crash with injuries and entrapment at Rand Road and Schoenbeck Road Arlington Heights, Il. One motorist reported he was entrapped in his vehicle, but he was freed from his vehicle as firefighter/paramedics arrived.

The first firefighter/paramedic crew on arrival reported no entrapment by 8:08 p.m.

At least two people were injured.

Ambulance 2’s crew requested a second ambulance by 8:09 p.m. Ambulance 4 was assigned.

One patient was transported by Ambulance 2 to Northwest Community Hospital. The second patient involved a medical refusal/release.

Eastbound US 12 was shut down during crash rescue operations.

Westbound US 12 was diverted to northbound Schoenbeck Road.

Southbound Shchoenbeck Road was shut down at US 12 during crash rescue operations.

Arlington Heights police, Mount Prospect police, and Prospect Heights police were all on scene for traffic control. The crash may have been the jurisdiction of Mount Prospect Police Department — not confirmed.
