A west suburban man wanted for questioning in the “suspicious” death of his wife, Caitlyn P. Neiswanger on Rye Court in Batavia was arrested Sunday night about 8 p.m. after DuPage County sheriff’s deputies found the 23-year-old male inside his deceased wife’s white Honda Pilot in a Glen Ellyn parking lot. He was arrested on unrelated charges, and police have not released details about the “other charges.”

Detectives classified the husband a “person of interest” after 21-year-old Caitlyn P. Neiswanger was found dead about 8:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at a home in the 1100 block of Rye Court in Batavia, according to police.

Batavia police had not previously been called to the address on Rye Court, but investigators said the two might have gotten into a dispute before her death.

Her husband took her vehicle and several other items from the home.

Authorities have not said how Neiswanger died. The Kane County coroner’s office did not respond to requests for comment Monday morning.

The husband remained jailed in DuPage County Monday morning, and was expected to be transferred to Cook County, according to Batavia police.

Police had said they wanted to speak with a “person of interest” who was believed to have been driving the woman’s 2006 white Honda Pilot with Illinois license plate Q 388 986. The “person of interest” was described as a white male, who was last seen wearing all black clothing.
