Female Jogger Defends Against Attack on McClory Bike Path Near Sheridan Rd and Blodgett Ave, Lake Bluff

Lake Bluff police responded about 7:00 p.m. Tuesday October 25, 2016 to a report of a jogger attacked on the Robert McClory Bike Path near Sheridan Road in Lake Bluff.

The female jogger, age 44, told police she was jogging on the path north of East Blodgett Avenue just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night when a Hispanic man pushed her to the ground.

The woman told police her screams frightened the suspect, who fled to a pick-up truck and drove northbound on Sheridan Road toward North Chicago.

The offender is described as a male/Hispanic, 5’7″ to 5’8″, heavyset and possibly wearing a hat or jacket at the time of the attack.

Residents are urged to call the Lake Bluff Police Department if they saw anything suspicious on Sheridan Road around this time.
