Small Kitchen Fire Extinguished by Firefighters at Little City on West Algonquin Rd, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 11:03 AM Tuesday to an Activated Fire Alarm followed by a report of a fire in a kitchen at Little City, 1760 West Algonquin Road Palatine, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a confirmed fire in a kitchen.

Firefighters upgraded the fire department response to reported fire response (Code 3) on receipt of voice report of a fire at the Little City facility.

Palatine Engine 36 on arrival reported smoke showing with a hydrant at the front of the building, and upgraded the fire department response to a working fire (Code 4) by 11:09 a.m. The building was possibly the 1645 building.

An interior crew reported a small fire in the kitchen, and reported they were about to put it out by 11:13 a.m.

The “fire out” status was reported by 11:18 a.m. Firefighters also reported that smoke was clearing by 11:18 a.m. Firefighters then worked on overhaul and reported a primary search for victims was complete and negative.

Crews also checked for extension and were working on a secondary search by 11:21 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
