Wheeling police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:40 PM Thursday to a report of a house fire at 363 Walnut Ave Wheeling, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that six people were inside a house where a fire was reported in a bathroom.
Wheeling police arrived first and reported six people were evacuated.
Wheeling Fire Department Ambulance 24’s crew on arrival reported smoke showing from the roof of the single-family residence.
An interior crew reported the fire appears to be on the second floor of a split-level home. Fire command updated they had extensive fire on the second floor.
Fire was reported “out” with one patient with injuries being treated by Wheeling Fire Department Ambulance 42’s crew.
