Trader Joe’s Recall on Kale & Edamame Salad with Potential Salmonella Risk Includes Illinois Store

Trader Joe’s alerted customers today that Kale & Edamame Salad sold at stores was a potential Salmonella risk.

Trader Joe’s reports they were alerted by the supplier of Trader Joe’s Kale & Edamame Salad (SKU 96711) that product with USE BY dates MAY 05 2016 through MAY 14 2016—sold only in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio & Wisconsin—may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Out of an abundance of caution, all product has been removed from store shelves and destroyed.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Customers who purchased the affected Kale & Edamame Bistro Salad are urged not to eat it. Instead customers are urged to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
