The snowfall accumulating and causing slippery conditions is causing an increases in crashes since about noon in the northwest suburbs.
An injury crash was reported on northbound Route 53 just south of Palatine Road at 12:11 pm.
A rollover injury crash was reported on northbound I-294 between Lake Avenue and Willow Road about 12:21 pm
A personal injury crash was reported on Higgins Road and east Frontage Road at about 12:41 pm.
Car vs pole crash on Wheeling Road south of Hintz Road at 12:48 pm.
Numerous other spinouts and property damage crashes were reported with vehicles facing the wrong way in multiple locations by 12:40 pm.
