Arlington Heights Missing Man, Tim Anderson, Ruled Death by Suicide, According to Medical Examiner

#ad▼

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death of Timothy Anderson a suicide and said he died of multiple sharp force injuries. There was initially no mention from the Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department nor the Cook County Forest Preserve Police about what the sharp instrument was that caused the injuries. The Cook County Sheriff’s Police Department has not posted anything on their official Twitter account, and had not previously provided any official release about any death investigation information after Tim Anderson’s body was found in a Cook County forest preserve.

The body of missing Arlington Heights man Timothy Anderson was found about 10:20 AM Wednesday February 10, 2016 at the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve in Barrington Hills. The husband and father of two children was found approximately in the area where his cell phone was pinged Monday night, and where his car was found about 7:00 PM Monday.

Police yesterday did not officially released the method of the death or any other information about the case. Autopsy results are expected Thursday morning. The case involving Tim Anderson was classified as a death investigation after his body was found. The body was found with jeans on, but no shirt. Blood was also found near the body.

The report of the shirtless body and multiple sharp force injuries has many citizens skeptical about the suicide ruling.

Arlington Heights police were investigating a missing person report for Timothy Anderson, age 38, who was last seen by his wife Cathrall when he left home between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. Monday February 8, 2016.

He was reported missing later Monday after his wife learned he never arrived at work at Northern Trust Bank.

A ping from Anderson’s cellphone Monday night led Cook County Forest Preserve police, while assisting Arlington Heights police, to discover his dark silver or charcoal Acura TL near the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve in Barrington Hills. Anderson’s vehicle was located near the intersection of Donlea Road and Bateman Road in Barrington Hills at 7:00 pm. The location is near a west utility entrance to Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve and Spring Lake Nature Preserve. The location of the vehicle was about one-half mile north of Algonquin Road. The scene is also located near the Barrington Hills Riding Center and large estate homes to the west.
