Why did Apple put a pause on its current streaming plans? Because TV content providers learned the lesson of record companies and don’t want to lose deals they already have with cable companies.
Apple has no special content advantage because TV content providers have been spreading their wealth around by having multiple entrance points to their content. The multiple deals prevents Apple from having any unbalance advantage in controlling access to content.
