Dynamic Airways plane fire at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport

A Dynamic Airways Boeing 767-200, registered under the number N251MY, caught fire on the runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Thursday. The plane was reportedly set to fly to Caracas, Venezuela.

A Dynamic International Airways Boeing 767 caught fire about 10:30 a.m. ET Thursday while taxiing for departure Thursday at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Passengers evacuated via slides onto the taxiway, and there are reports of several injuries. The aircraft carries between 180 and 290 passengers.

The pilot of an aircraft traveling behind Dynamic International Airways Flight 405 reported fuel was leaking from the aircraft before the fire started.

The Boeing 767 passenger jet was taxiing when the left engine caught fire. The fire was extinguished by an airport fire rescue team on scene.

Dynamic Airways Flight 405 equipment was a Boeing 767-200ER / N251MY scheduled to depart Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) en route to Caracas, Venezuela.
