#ad▼

Aurora police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:00 p.m. Thursday to an arriving Metra passenger train for the report of an unresponsive man on the commuter train.

The conductor was passing through a train car when he found a deceased passenger. There were no outward signs of trauma to the man’s body, and foul play is not suspected upon initial investigation by Aurora police.

Metra Train 1231 left Chicago’s Union Station at 12:30 p.m. Aurora police detectives and evidence technicians remained on the scene past 5 p.m. Thursday, but the situation affected only Train 1231.

Aurora is the last stop outbound from Chicago. Train #1231 is normally scheduled to arrive in Aurora at 1:53 p.m. The train then normally returns to Chicago as Train #1268, but the train was held for investigation and did not operate Thursday.
