Lake Forest Hit by Widespread Flooding of Roadways and Viaducts During Flash Flood Warning

Lake Forest police and firefighters responded Friday night to numerous reports of flooding.

Firefighters were called about 7:13 p.m. to assist a resident out of their home because of high water on their property in the 0-99 block of South Mayflower.

By 7:15 p.m. Lake Forest police received numerous call of stranded cars in flooded roads on the east side of Lake Forest.

Police reported the viaduct at Route 41 and Deerpath was flooded out at 7:17 p.m.

Firefighters were called at about 7:45 p.m. for a rescue for a motorist stuck in the Route 41 south of Route 60 at the viaduct.

Knollwood firefighters also responded to rescue a motorist about 7:54 p.m. at West Sheridan Place and Rockland Avenue.
