Ask Paul B: Kid Shot at 11:30 PM in Chicago?

#ad▼

Dear Paul B Readers,

Let’s be perfectly honest. When you decide to start a family, SOMEONE has to be smart enough to be a parent—hopefully TWO of you, but I am just fed up with these so called “non-parents” putting their children in harm’s way. I was fortunate enough to have two parents who were not brilliant, but they knew that “we little ones,” didn’t need to be out after 8:00 p.m. ANYWHERE. Today, you hear about these four- or even three-year-olds being shot in the street at 11:30 at night. WHAT? Why are these children anywhere but in their beds at that hour. I can’t even make it past the sports at 10:25 p.m., before I nod off. Why are these ignorant “non-parents” schlepping these children around in the wild-west streets of Chicago? Are they nutso? Do their kids have to be used for target practice when the lead is flying? These children need not be sacrificed because our streets are death traps.
I have heard that these “Moms” can’t afford sitters, so they are out visiting friends, with their toddlers tagging along. Why don’t police arrest these people? The best scenario–Just Stay Home if you can’t find an elder to watch your children. Please, your kids don’t need to die because you want to party all night. It’s apparent that you are NOT A PARENT when you bring your children to a gun party unarmed!!

Stop blaming Police-it is YOUR responsibility to protect your children. It is also YOUR responsibility to turn in the thugs who are killing you!
