Wheeling police responded about 1:50 AM Monday to a battery and possibly a robbery at 446 Inland Drive Wheeling, IL. Police received a report that a motorist was robbed and followed until he drove to an apartment complex.
At the apartment complex the victim in a sedan was rammed by a pickup truck.
Witnesses on the scene report the vehicles had severe damage.
Offender descriptions were not available, but occupants in the offending pickup truck fled from the scene on foot — possibly running toward River Mill Parkway or scattering in the apartment complex.
The extent of the injuries of the battery victim was unknown at the time of this report.
