Shots Fired? Not at police anyway. Police apparently were on the scene early Saturday morning investigating a report of “shots fired” near an apartment complex on Dryden Place just north of Kensington Road in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police responded about 4:10 AM Saturday to a report of shots fired at Dryden Place and Kensington Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police apparently received a report of “shots fired” at or near the Dryden Marketview Apartments on Dryden Place just north of Kensington Road.
The police watch commander on First Watch or A-shift was not available to confirm the report.
No standoff or arrests were reported. Police cleared the scene and apparently were not able to confirm the evidence for “shots fired.”
At least one police officer was seen carrying a long gun and crouched behind a police vehicle on Dryden Place about 4:30 a.m.
At least six police vehicles were on the scene early Saturday morning.

Police have alternate ways to transmit tactical, operational or investigative information, while still keeping their main public dispatch channels open for the best balance of public safety and police safety.
