Tree Branches on Power Lines on South Vail Ave in Arlington Heights Cause Power Outage to 100 People During Blackhawks-Lightning

Arlington Heights firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:59 PM Monday to a report of tree branches down on power lines in the block of 900 South Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Firefighters received a report that contact with the lines was causing smoke in the backyards of some homes on the block.

About 100 customers were without power in the area during the Stanley Cup series game between the Chicago Blackhawks and The Tampa Bay Lightning.

ComEd responded within about 20 minutes.
