Through this program, eligible low and moderate income homeowners may qualify for 0% interest, deferred loans to make home repairs. No monthly payments are required. Loans are repaid when the homeowner is no longer the owner occupant of the home, typically upon the sale of the property.
Eligible home repairs are those needed to bring the home into compliance with Village Code and may include items such as new roofs, electrical and plumbing work, window replacement, energy efficiency improvements, and modifications to improve handicapped accessibility. Decorative remodeling, landscaping including tree removal, and room additions are not eligible.
