Intruder, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, Theft Reported on South Embers Lane, Arlington Heights

On September 25, 2014, at approximately 2:00 a.m., an adult female was sexually assaulted inside her single family home residence in the 2400 block of south Embers Lane by an unknown offender. Prior to leaving, the offender also took an unknown amount of jewelry from the residence. Preliminary investigation indicates that entry was made through an unsecured window. The victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital where she was treated and released.

The police department is asking residents to make sure their homes are locked and secured. In particular, accessible windows should be locked or have stops in place to limit how far the window can be opened to prevent unauthorized entry.

The Arlington Heights Police Department is actively investigating this incident and is seeking witnesses who can provide assistance in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’6″ with an average build, short dark curly hair and olive skin and unshaven, wearing dark khaki style pants and a kark plo style shirt.

The suspect spoke with an unknown accent
