Armed Robbery at KFC in Aurora, Illinois — 3 Shot

Aurora (Illinois) police responded about 8:30 p.m. Thursday to an armed robber at the KFC, 1350 East New York Street. Three people were shot in an armed robbery attempt at the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.

Early in the investigation, police believe that two suspects entered the Kentucky Fried Chicken about 8:30 p.m. and announced a robbery.

Shots were fired during the robbery attempt, and three male employees of the restaurant were hit by gunfire, according to police. Two employees were transported to a local hospital where they are listed in critical condition. A 17-year-old male suffered a leg injury. A 24-year-old male and a 19-year-old male suffered gunshot wounds in the torso and were the two victims listed in critical condition.

Two males, age 19 and age 26, are in police custody, but it is unknown at this time where the male suspects were arrested.
