Hoffman Estates police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 4:32 AM Wednesday to a report of a car vs house crash at 680 Illinois Boulevard Hoffman Estates, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a car hit a residence before dawn Wednesday morning.
First firefighters on the scene discovered the car hit the gas meter and caused a gas leak. Firefighter/paramedics performed a rapid extrication on the sole victim in the crash.
Firefighters and police confirmed that there weren’t any other victims that may have walked away from the scene.
Nicor Gas was called to the scene, and firefighters evacuated the neighbors home nearby the scene as a precaution for the gas leak.
