Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office report that on June 16th, 2014, a male subject entered a liquor store in the 400 block of Bascom Avenue in unincorporated San Jose. The male suspect picked up a case of beer and went to the counter as if he was going to pay for the item. The suspect asked the victim how much a bottle of liquor was from behind the counter. When the victim turned around to check the price, the suspect started walking behind the counter and grabbing bottles of liquor and cigarettes. The victim confronted the suspect and the suspect grabbed a bottle of liquor and raised it above his head like he was going to hit the victim.

The suspect then started throwing liquor bottles at the victim, striking him several times. The victim attempted to defend himself against the suspect, but was unsuccessful. The suspect then started attacking the victim by throwing him to the ground and started punching him repeatedly. The suspect eventually left the business after another customer stepped in to stop the attack. The suspect got into a white car and fled the area.

The male suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 5’8″ tall, weighing 160-180 pounds, black curly hair in a ponytail and a mustache. The suspect was wearing a backwards black hat with “SF” written on it. He was wearing a black t-shirt that said “CALI LIFE” on the front.
