Residential Burglary at Apartment on Winslowe Dr Just South of Rand Rd, Palatine

Palatine police received a report about 4:28 PM Thursday of a residential burglary at in the block of 1300 North Winslowe Drive, Palatine, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders made entry into an apartment residence, possibly through an unsecured entrance. The victim indicated a sliding door and window were left unlocked. When the victim returned home, $500 cash was discovered missing from a dresser drawer, and a jar containing about $40 in cash and change was missing from a dresser top. The victim also reported several items missing from their patio including a plastic bucket containing paint brushes and rollers and a plastic chair (unknown value).

The crime is reported to have occurred on Thursday May 8, 2014 between 10:00 a.m.and 4:27 p.m.

Palatine police are investigating the apartment burglary.
