Activated Alarm/Smoke Investigation Finds Burnt Food at Apartment on Pine Ave Near George St, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 9:32 AM Sunday to and activated fire/smoke alarm at 214 South Pine Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that there was a smell of smoke at the residence. The first fire crew on the scene reported nothing showing at a two-story residential building.

Interior firefighters reported the smell of burnt food, and are investigating to locate the source apartment.

Extra fire companies were returned after the tower ladder crew reported burnt food in an apartment unit.
