Multiple People Stabbed at Franklin Regional High School, Murrysville, PA Near Pittsburgh

Police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:13 a.m. Wednesday to Franklin Regional LHigh School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania to a report of multiple people stabbed, and an activated fire alarm. Apparently a female student pulled a fire alarm to warn people to evacuate the school to flee an offender that was stabbing people.

At least four students are reported in critical condition after being airlifted from the scene of the school. There is also an early report that six people have been stabbed, and a total of 20 are injured — possibly from fleeing the area.

The offender is reported to be a male student, who brought a knife to the school. Students and staff have gathered at the football field as an emergency staging area.
