Animal rights activists say three brown bear cubs have been rescued from captivity, after authorities were tipped off by citizens who spotted photos of the cubs on Facebook.

Ema, Oska and Ron — three brown bear cubs — were found at two separate homes last week in the western town of Peja, Kosova and are believed to be from the same mother. The brown bears are sheltered at a bear sanctuary run by Four Paws, an international animal charity group.

Keeping wild animals in Kosovo is forbidden by law, but no arrest have been reported.
