CNN’s Erin Burnett Chastises Ted Nugent for Using Word Chimpanzee; Burnett Called President George W. Bush “the Monkey” in 2007

CNN’s Erin Burnett interviewed rock star Ted Nugent about his controversy resulting from the use of the word “mongrel” and “chimpanzee” in a political discussion recently.

Yesterday, Erin Burnett, chastised Ted Nugent for using the word mongrel — saying the only recent reference she could find involved a quote describing Aryans’ Biblical exclusion of Jews, Negroes, Mexicans, Orientals, and Mongrels. Nugent assured Brunett that his use of “mongrel” had no connection with that reference.

Burnett then chose to incorrectly claim or imply that Nugent called President Barack Obama a “chimpanzee” regarding his administration’s lack of determination to investigate and/or pursue a resolution to the Benghazi attacks on September 11, 2012. Nugent clarified that he did not call the president a chimpanzee, but was referring to people that would accept the administration’s explanation of the Benghazi incident as chimpanzees.

Burnett then lectured Ted Nugent saying …

“But I will say you know this president was fairly and democratically elected, and he is the President of the United States, and like him or not, you must respect the office, as an American who wants peace and security. That is my person view, whether he is a Democrat or a Republican in office.”

On the “morning joe” broadcast November 26, 2007, then CNBC anchor Erin Burnett referred to George Bush as “the monkey in the middle” while laughing and joking about the Republican president. She had said “who could not have a man-crush no that man?” … and was clarifying that she was talking about French President Nicolas Sarkozy, not George W. Bush — the monkey.

Erin Burnett refers to GWB as “the Monkey in the Middle.”
