Wallet Theft at Restaurant on Vail Ave, Downtown Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 4:28 PM Monday of a theft at Armand’s Pizza, 70 North Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders removed a wallet from the victim’s purse which she placed underneath her seat while at the restaurant. The wallet contained numerous credit/debit cards, an Illinois driver’s license and approximately $13 in cash. The offender(s) attempted to make a $3,000 purchase at a Target in Schaumburg which was declined. The offender(s) did complete some unknown purchases, according to the victim. A possible offender sat at an adjacent table, appeared nervous and left after approximately three minutes.

The possible suspect is described as a male/black, 30-35-years-old 6’0″ to 6’2″ wearing a dark puffy jacket and winter hat.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Monday, February 3, 2014 between 4:00 p.m. and 4:27 p.m.
