Retail Theft Suspect Detained at Jewel-Osco on North Vail Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 10:00 AM Thursday to a report of a retail theft suspect detained at Jewel-Osco, 122 North Vail Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a female suspect placed bottles of alcohol into a reusable shopping bag in a shopping cart. She then allegedly placed other items on top of the reusable shopping bag and walked out of the Jewel-Osco store without paying for the items.

Loss prevention personnel at Jewel-Osco stopped her and called 9-1-1.

The suspect was identified as Lindsey A. Tortorello, age 53, of the 3400 block of West Evergreen in Chicago.

One bottle Kettle One Vodka $36.99
One bottle Johnny Walker Black $61.99
Two bottles Jack Daniels $37.99each
One container Tide Pops $8.99
One package 120 ct Jewel napkins $1.19
One package of Charmin bath tissues $5.49

Tortorello was charged with one count of felony retail theft.
