Rockford police responded about 4:36 PM Wednesday to a report of a stolen ambulance from Rockford Memorial Hospital, 2400 North Rockton Avenue Rockford, IL. Metro ambulance #C37 was reported stolen from the EMERGENCY parking lot at Rockford Memorial Hospital. The license plate on the ambulance is described as 104 106.
Driver is described as a male/white driver, age 43 with a mustache and wearing a tan hat. The driver/offender is wanted for aggravated assault and is possibly intoxicated.
The direction of travel is unknown “at this time”, but a later sighting put the vehicle eastbound Spring Creek at Perryville.
