Secret FBI Document, Redacted After FOIA, Turns Up Un-Redacted in US Copyright Office

A manual outlining detainee interrogation methods overseas that the FBI fought to keep secret for years has mysteriously been revealed in the US Copyright Office.

An un-redacted version of the document was available

“This is a document intended for its CLEAN TEAM to use,” said Nick Baumann, Mother Jones reporter. The FBI CLEAN TEAM prepares evidence for federal court.

The author of the document is an FBI agent, who filed the copyright for the document, which really doesn’t qualify as a copyrightable document because it government work.
