Attached Garage Fire Extinguished by Firefighters on South Benton St, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:20 PM Sunday to a report of a garage fire at a house 840 South Benton Street Palatine, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that an attached garage was on fire, and that two people were attempting to extinguish the fire. The first engine on the scene immediately lead out a line and worked to extinguish the fire.

Palatine firefighters reported they knocked the fire by about 1:26 p.m. Firefighters searched the house for any dangers or victims, and immediately worked on ventilation.

Firefighters reported no extension of the fire into the living area. Firefighters reported one inoperable portable radio at the scene.
