Brick & Mortar Stores Walmart and Target Work to Bring Online Experience in the Stores

As online sales continue to post double digit gains, traditional brick and mortar stores are embracing new technology to lure shoppers.

AP reports online shopping is up 13 percent from last year.

Walmart has introduced Scan & Go. Customers can scan and bag your groceries as you shop, then quickly pay at the self-checkout registers. Scan & Go is available in select Walmart Supercenter and Neighborhood Market stores. A full list of stores where customers can use Scan & Go is available on the Scan & Go website.

As of Friday, November 15, 2013 Scan & Go stores listed near Arlington Heights include Palatine, Niles and Lake Zurich. Scan & Go is not yet available at Mount Prospect or Rolling Meadows.
