Truck, Car, Light Pole Crash at Euclid Ave and Walnut Ave, Arlington Heights

VIDEO: Crash at Euclid Avenue and Walnut Avenue blocked Euclid Avenue for about one hour and knocked out a traffic signals with emergency vehicle Opticom traffic signal detector/controller.

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:50 AM Sunday to a report of crash with injuries at Euclid Avenue and Walnut Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a car and a box truck had crashed in the intersection. A light pole and traffic signal was knocked down across Euclid Avenue, just west of Walnut Avenue.

A white sedan had severe passenger side front-end damage and the truck appeared to have right-rear damage or rear-end damage. Both vehicles were not driveable.

Paramedics evaluated both drivers. Neither driver was transported to the hospital.

Euclid Avenue was blocked in both directions for at least one hour. The traffic signal mounted on the northwest corner of the intersection was knocked over.
