Chicago area weather radar [LIVE RADAR] is clear except for a very small band moving southwest of Rockford toward the southwest. A frontal boundary is pushing slowly south-southwest across northern Illinois.
Cloudy conditions exist for northern Illinois and southwest Wisconsin. Clouds are expected to gradually clear during the rest of the day, but it could remain one of those thick stratus cloudy days. Except for some sprinkles from growing stratus clouds, there is little or no chance for precipitation for the next 48 hours.
