Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation of 3 Courthouses in Kane County

A bomb threat was received by telephone at about 10:15 a.m. As a result of the phone threat, the Kane County Judicial Center and branch court in St. Charles at 37W777 Route 38 St Charles, IL, and the Kane County Elgin branch court at 80 South Grove Avenue in Elgin, IL was evacuated.

Buildings were evacuated as a precaution. The specifics of the threat were not revealed.

Court schedule is expected to resume at 1:00 p.m.
