Secretary of State John Kerry speaks at the Senate Foreign relations hearing on Syria.

United States — A nation that doesn’t know what to do about a gas attack …

“U.S.” is bankrupt and can’t afford a war.”

“Nation is weary of war.”

“The immoral use of gas warfare with impunity will lead to worse atrocities.”

“The military that would be used for the long-term is weary. The tip of the spear is as fit as ever, but the follow-up military is tired.”

“We’re not sure who we’re helping if we attack Assad’s regime.

“We’re not sure who will lead, if we destroy or cause the destruction of the Assad Syrian regime.”

The important objective is securing the chemical weapons to make sure they’re not used against American interests, the United States at home, or allies of the United States.

Former Rep. Ron Paul says he is against the Syria intervention. Rep. Mike Quigley believes the U.S. should get involved.
